An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Whaley in the 15th minute of play forced Dortmund FC's goalkeeper Georges Bentley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Jerrell Negron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Georges Bentley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the match, Dortmund FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugène Becker came free, but Georges Bentley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Special Forces's Jere Pruitt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georges Bentley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deangelo Villarreal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eli Lauzier having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Jere Pruitt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Special Forces's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jere Pruitt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Georges Bentley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugène Becker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Special Forces's Jere Pruitt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Georges Bentley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Deangelo Villarreal made the kick off in the second half. When Giovanni Gilbert fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dortmund FC's protests and gave Giovanni Gilbert a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Dortmund FC got a freekick which was hit by Deangelo Villarreal. Eugène Becker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Jerrell Negron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Special Forces's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerrell Negron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georges Bentley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barthélémy Vazquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Herman Whaley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jerrell Negron came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Special Forces fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerrell Negron couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Special Forces getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Hugues Dupont hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Isreal Jarvis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Special Forces's supporters rose to their feet, but Isreal Jarvis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georges Bentley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the match, Dortmund FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugues Dupont came free, but Georges Bentley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Georges Bentley came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Special Forces's Eugène Becker. But to his dismay, Eugène Becker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match was over Special Forces could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dortmund FC throughout the match.
