After some careless play in the Regina Fighters defense, Félix Ernst kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfonso Bossé. The Regina Fighters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfonso Bossé should have stopped the shot. Myles Gill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cortez Goodwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The supporters of Regina Fighters booed when Montreal S L T was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jospeh Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Spencer Étoile shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Myles Gill showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fredric Gibbs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 14 minutes into the game, Johnie Yost was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montreal S L T's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Regina Fighters the free kick. After a rather tough play, Montreal S L T's Johnie Yost got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 21st minute Herman Burch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Bossé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30thth minute of the game Fredric Gibbs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montreal S L T's Myles Gill was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fredric Gibbs in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Myles Gill prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 35 minutes, Léopold Clemons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montreal S L T and the Regina Fighters players grew even worse after the yellow card. Léopold Clemons hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fredric Gibbs in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Myles Gill saved Montreal S L T from getting behind. Winston Bowden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Myles Gill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Fredric Gibbs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Montreal S L T's Johnie Yost got his second yellow card of the match in the 56th minute. The referee ordered Johnie Yost off the ground. After 57 played minutes Montreal S L T got a freekick which was hit by Johnie Yost. The attack was good, but when Fredric Gibbs in the 58th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Montreal S L T's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fredric Gibbs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Myles Gill stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fredric Gibbs's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Archie Starr's late challenge caught a Regina Fighters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Archie Starr helped the player get up and apologised. Myles Gill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Absolon Mims, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fredric Gibbs in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. The audience thought a goal was coming when Archie Starr got free with Alfonso Bossé in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Montreal S L T's Myles Gill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Page in the 94th minute of play. Félix Ernst kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Emanuel Page sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
