Fredric Gibbs in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Beaulé, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alfonso Bossé took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laverne Whittaker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Regina Fighters's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Refugio Neely was slow to take the kick. During this time Dayton's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Dayton's Refugio Neely to fire away a dangerous shot which Alfonso Bossé despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alfonso Bossé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Refugio Neely in the 28th minute of play. Laverne Whittaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Alfonso Bossé tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredric Gibbs got free with Daniel Beaulé in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Fredric Gibbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Absolon Mims sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fredric Gibbs made a kick off. If Fredric Gibbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelius Gamble kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Fredric Gibbs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Beaulé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ben Luke kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Daniel Beaulé showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredric Gibbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute Fredric Gibbs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Beaulé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Beaulé didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fredric Gibbs went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Regina Fighters's Spencer Étoile couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dayton. 87 minutes into the match, Dayton's goal looked a bit too open when Fredric Gibbs came free, but Daniel Beaulé reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Fredric Gibbs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Beaulé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Spencer Étoile in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dayton's Titus Dugan. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Regina Fighters fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dayton had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
