Albany AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Albany AFC's Joël John managed to work through Merbleue's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Joël John dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Romeo Gregoire kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Humberto Herman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes Albany AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joël John. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joël John stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Zane Robertson came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Merbleue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zane Robertson couldn't finish the play. Merbleue's Lindsay McLeod got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Zane Robertson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lindsay McLeod blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frederic Jimenez having to make a save. 64 minutes into the match, Albany AFC's goalkeeper Frederic Jimenez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zane Robertson. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Albany AFC's goalkeeper Frederic Jimenez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joël John in the 74th minute of play forced Merbleue's goalkeeper Arnulfo Coffey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joël John sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zane Robertson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederic Jimenez having to interfere. In the 84th minute Lindsay McLeod shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederic Jimenez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Joël John cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Arnulfo Coffey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romeo Gregoire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Frederic Jimenez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joël John recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Albany AFC had won after a very even match.
