The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Alucard's Marc McIntosh in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Albany AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 5th play minute Linwood Hooper came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Frederic Jimenez. 1-0. Lynwood Frazier kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Albany AFC's Joël John got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Stanford Giroux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Fluet made a great header on Albany AFC's corner, it was just that Alucard's Alfonzo Potvin managed to reach the ball for a save. Albany AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Marc McIntosh scored to the left of an out of position Frederic Jimenez, making the score, 2-0. With a little luck, Albany AFC's Frederic Jimenez got control of the ball when Linwood Hooper tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joël John received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Alfonzo Potvin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonzo Potvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Herman, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Linwood Hooper's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Frederic Jimenez firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 34th match minute, Alucard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Val Fair to maneuver through the defense. Alucard's Alfonzo Potvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Herman in the 37th minute of play. Linwood Hooper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederic Jimenez having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Joël John left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Albany AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marc McIntosh to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Marc McIntosh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederic Jimenez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Herman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Alfonzo Potvin made a huge save. Marc McIntosh struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Frederic Jimenez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alucard. 62 minutes into the game, Marc McIntosh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Frederic Jimenez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alucard's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Humberto Herman scored to the left of an out of position Alfonzo Potvin, making the score, 4-2. Humberto Herman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Alfonzo Potvin made a huge save. Alucard's Alfonzo Potvin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Alucard from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes into the match, Albany AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lynwood Frazier came free, but Frederic Jimenez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Toney McAllister was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albany AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alucard the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Linwood Hooper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alucard's supporters rose to their feet, but Linwood Hooper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederic Jimenez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Linwood Hooper in the 87th minute of play forced Albany AFC's goalkeeper Frederic Jimenez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederic Jimenez came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Alucard's Linwood Hooper. But to his dismay, Linwood Hooper quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. 94 minutes into the match, Alucard's goal looked a bit too open when Joël John came free, but Alfonzo Potvin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
