Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Joël John started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Hedley's Bertrand Lucas got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Humberto Herman came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Albany AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Herman couldn't finish the play. Humberto Herman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Hedley getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gregory Means hit a great ball. Luther Costello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joël John, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 minutes, Toney McAllister mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albany AFC and the Hedley players grew even worse after the yellow card.
