Broderick Hoffman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Linwood Hooper, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bobby Welsh during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Monarch Park FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Bobby Welsh hit a great ball. Broderick Hoffman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marc McIntosh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damon Trejo charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damon Trejo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Monarch Park FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. In the 39th minute Marc McIntosh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Broderick Hoffman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ed Farrar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monarch Park FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ed Farrar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonzo Potvin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Ed Farrar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Alfonzo Potvin managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Monarch Park FC's Ed Farrar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Monarch Park FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alucard were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marc McIntosh was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Monarch Park FC's goalkeeper Broderick Hoffman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kareem Farr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonzo Potvin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Ed Farrar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monarch Park FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ed Farrar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kareem Farr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ed Farrar in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonzo Potvin saved Alucard from getting behind. A collision led to Alucard getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Lynwood Frazier hit a great ball. Kareem Farr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Monarch Park FC were furious when Burl Finney was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Monarch Park FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! A collision led to Monarch Park FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Jules Dewitt hit a great ball. Alucard's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
