After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Andre Bussière managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tawatinaw AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andre Bussière was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonzo Potvin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lynwood Frazier charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lynwood Frazier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Alucard's Lynwood Frazier got a free kick in the 17th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Tawatinaw AFC's Gilles Arredondo tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alfonzo Potvin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andre Bussière in the 20th minute of the match. Stanford Giroux charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stanford Giroux the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tawatinaw AFC booed when Alucard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanford Giroux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tawatinaw AFC's Gilles Arredondo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alucard. Stanford Giroux kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 25 played minutes, Tawatinaw AFC's Gilles Arredondo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfonzo Potvin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tawatinaw AFC reached it. Tawatinaw AFC's Monte Tardif played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc McIntosh in the 27th minute of play. If Stanford Giroux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonzo Potvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Bussière, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc McIntosh in the 41st minute of play forced Tawatinaw AFC's goalkeeper Monte Tardif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Connor was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 44th minute, Adolfo Connor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andre Bussière was the one to do the kick off. Tawatinaw AFC's Monte Tardif played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linwood Hooper in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Alucard's Marc McIntosh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Monte Tardif made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Alfonzo Potvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Théodore Reese in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Andre Bussière managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tawatinaw AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre Bussière was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andre Bussière's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonzo Potvin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Cecil Goss charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecil Goss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, Tawatinaw AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecil Goss to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Marc McIntosh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
