When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, John Blanchard put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Simon Turner. In the 14th minute Hubert Nolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but King Echeverri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Blanchard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Simon Turner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arnulfo Courtois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. King Echeverri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hubert Nolan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. John Blanchard in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Simon Turner, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Rigoberto Beaver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Leland Deserres made a precise shot to the right of King Echeverri. Kildonan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

King Echeverri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leland Deserres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. King Echeverri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leland Deserres went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hubert Nolan got free with King Echeverri in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kildonan's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Célestin Panetier 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. After 66 played minutes Kildonan got a freekick which was hit by Arron Alonzo. 70 minutes into the game, Neil Howard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shillington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kildonan the free kick. A collision led to Shillington getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Neil Howard hit a great ball. In the 72ndth minute of the game John Blanchard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shillington's Simon Turner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, John Blanchard put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Simon Turner. Shillington's Simon Turner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Blanchard in the 76th minute of play. King Echeverri made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Hubert Nolan sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Kildonan's King Echeverri got control of the ball when Hubert Nolan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Simon Turner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Blanchard in the 86th minute of the match. After having played for 87 minutes, John Blanchard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kildonan's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Blanchard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Kildonan booed when Shillington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célestin Panetier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shillington were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Kildonan's much stronger midfield.
