Italy Forza's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Célestin Panetier scored to the left of an out of position Vince Oneal, making the score, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Célestin Panetier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Shillington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Célestin Panetier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. Italy Forza's Vince Oneal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leland Deserres in the 37th minute of play. Leland Deserres's late challenge caught a Italy Forza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leland Deserres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Leland Deserres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd match minute, Shillington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célestin Panetier to maneuver through the defense. If Kenneth Latourelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Turner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Latourelle in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the Italy Forza defense, Célestin Panetier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vince Oneal. The Italy Forza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vince Oneal should have stopped the shot. Vince Oneal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leland Deserres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Turner made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Kenneth Latourelle sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute, Neil Howard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Turner was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Francisco Blackburn capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Francisco Blackburn really showed his touch with that goal: 5-2. After 80 minutes of play, Shillington's Hubert Nolan made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vince Oneal was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Shillington's Simon Turner got control of the ball when Kenneth Latourelle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hubert Nolan scored 7-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vince Oneal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Italy Forza's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
