Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lindsay McLeod got the match started through his kick off. Arnulfo Coffey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andre Bussière in the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Tawatinaw AFC's Alejandro Battle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnulfo Coffey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alejandro Battle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 played minutes Merbleue got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Burnham. Alejandro Battle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Coffey having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Romeo Gregoire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merbleue's Orlando Nixon shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Monte Tardif but with some difficulty. Monte Tardif went to the wrong direction when Edwardo Guilmette was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tawatinaw AFC's zone, Lindsay McLeod stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Monte Tardif came out of the goal and Lindsay McLeod tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejandro Battle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Coffey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Merbleue booed when Tawatinaw AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sterling Lockwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Edwardo Guilmette in the 37th minute of play was well struck, but Monte Tardif made a really good save at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andre Bussière in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Coffey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tawatinaw AFC's Andre Bussière got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alejandro Battle to make the kick off. If Lindsay McLeod had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lindsay McLeod struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Monte Tardif didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merbleue. Tawatinaw AFC's Sterling Lockwood shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 63rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arnulfo Coffey but with some difficulty. 64 minutes into the game, Emerson Burnham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merbleue's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tawatinaw AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Merbleue's Emerson Burnham got a free kick in the 64th minute. Andre Bussière received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Arnulfo Coffey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tawatinaw AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gilles Arredondo in the 69th minute. The corner led to Tawatinaw AFC's Scottie Parham getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a little luck, Merbleue's Arnulfo Coffey got control of the ball when Andre Bussière tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Alejandro Battle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Alejandro Battle came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Tawatinaw AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Battle couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Merbleue's Arnulfo Coffey got control of the ball when Andre Bussière tried to sneak it across the goal line. Merbleue's Arnulfo Coffey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Merbleue from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Merbleue's Romeo Gregoire got a free kick in the 80th minute. Edwardo Guilmette kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Andre Bussière might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnulfo Coffey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andre Bussière ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86thth minute of the game Alejandro Battle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merbleue's Arnulfo Coffey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Tawatinaw AFC's Adolfo Connor got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 90 played minutes, Merbleue's Edwardo Guilmette shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Monte Tardif came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Merbleue reached it. Monte Tardif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lindsay McLeod in the 95th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andre Bussière got free with Arnulfo Coffey in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
