Lothaire Borden came out and tried to block the shot, but Ricky Chan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. Felicien Cartier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Wilson Ferland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricky Chan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benoit Cartier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Lothaire Borden skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Leif Paiement kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Micheal Gougeon in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Ferland saved Cheminis from getting behind. If Manual Cotton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Micheal Gougeon came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Deathbridge Rattlesnakes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Micheal Gougeon couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricky Chan to make the kick off. When Micheal Gougeon came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Deathbridge Rattlesnakes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Micheal Gougeon couldn't finish the play. Leif Paiement scored 1-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Ferland, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Cheminis's zone, Felicien Cartier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Ferland came out of the goal and Felicien Cartier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 67 played minutes Cheminis got a freekick which was hit by Sandy Lange. A collision led to Deathbridge Rattlesnakes getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Leif Paiement hit a great ball. Micheal Gougeon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Ferland having to interfere. Ricky Chan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes of play, Cheminis's Benoit Cartier made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lothaire Borden was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Benoit Cartier in the 93rd minute of play forced Deathbridge Rattlesnakes's goalkeeper Lothaire Borden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Deathbridge Rattlesnakes's Lothaire Borden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benoit Cartier in the 95th minute of play.
