After a defensive mix-up in Weberville's zone, Henry LaGarde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clifton McGee came out of the goal and Henry LaGarde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renaud Reed stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolph Tinsley's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. If Bret Pineda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 minutes, Johnathan Glenn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Weberville and the Lesueur players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Weberville getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Johnathan Glenn hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Adolph Tinsley took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Renaud Reed to make any attempt to save it. Bret Pineda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Clifton McGee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Weberville's goalkeeper Clifton McGee, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Adolph Tinsley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Reyes Wyatt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lesueur's Renaud Reed proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to save Lesueur from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolph Tinsley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bret Pineda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clifton McGee having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolph Tinsley in the 55th minute of play forced Lesueur's goalkeeper Renaud Reed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valère Serrano charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valère Serrano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Clifton McGee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bret Pineda in the 60th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Weberville's Adolph Tinsley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renaud Reed narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roger Connor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renaud Reed having to interfere.
