Nicholas Brennan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elroy Sauriol in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Venice's Trent Rodrigues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicholas Brennan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oromocto's Nicholas Brennan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Oromocto from getting a goal against them. Oromocto's Nicholas Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Hunt in the 17th minute of play. Trent Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Brennan having to interfere. Delmar Hunt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nicholas Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Oromocto's goalkeeper Nicholas Brennan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boyd Desrosiers. Elroy Sauriol's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nicholas Brennan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Oromocto's Nicholas Brennan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Oromocto from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iréné Stuart to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Trent Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venice's supporters rose to their feet, but Trent Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicholas Brennan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trent Rodrigues in the 54th minute of play forced Oromocto's goalkeeper Nicholas Brennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elroy Sauriol struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Nicholas Brennan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venice. When Trent Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Venice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trent Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Delmar Hunt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Trent Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Trent Rodrigues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicholas Brennan was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Trent Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oromocto's Nicholas Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elroy Sauriol in the 78th minute of play. Nicholas Brennan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elroy Sauriol's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 83 minutes into the game, Iréné Stuart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oromocto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venice the free kick. Nicholas Brennan came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Venice's Trent Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Trent Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Nicholas Brennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elroy Sauriol, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute, Trent Rodrigues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0.
