Shad Ladner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Israel Hannah went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 15 played minutes Griswold got a freekick which was hit by Orval Bruneau. Griswold's Isaac Whitmore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Griswold from getting a goal against them. Léandre Norman took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaac Whitmore. Isaac Whitmore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Federico May came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Varennes AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico May couldn't finish the play. Léandre Norman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Isaac Whitmore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarred Ruel hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The referee gave Varennes AFC a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Roch Woods, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Griswold's Isaac Whitmore. 3-1. Isaac Whitmore was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Federico May capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Federico May really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. With an all-out effort, Varennes AFC's Isaac Whitmore threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Federico May, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 35th minute, Roch Woods hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shad Ladner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarred Ruel, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Varennes AFC's Shad Ladner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Hannah in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute Edgard Bower shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shad Ladner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes Varennes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Doug Farr.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Léandre Norman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Léandre Norman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Whitmore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Léandre Norman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaac Whitmore was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Varennes AFC fully deserved thier win.
