When Hilario Talbot fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bilby's protests and gave Hilario Talbot a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Bilby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Talbot to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Denver Minton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otto Varner was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 20thth minute of the game Sammy Bériault who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bilby's Otto Varner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Otto Varner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sammy Bériault in the 24th minute of play. Grégoire Duranseau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenton Sneed in the 26th minute of play. Josiah Grant charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josiah Grant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Bilby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josiah Grant to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Bilby's Benton Sherman got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 47th minute, Isaac Whittaker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Otto Varner was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sammy Bériault to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Kenton Sneed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bilby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenton Sneed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Vicente Carey kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Grégoire Duranseau. That made the score 1-1 in the 59 minute of play. Kenton Sneed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grégoire Duranseau having to interfere. After 76 minutes Bilby's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Noe Dill who took care of the corner kick. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Woodrow Jeffers sped through Bilby's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Otto Varner. Grégoire Duranseau made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Vicente Carey sent off a good shot on target. Bilby's Hilario Talbot got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Hilario Talbot off the ground. Hilario Talbot kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Sammy Bériault received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Otto Varner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Josiah Grant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Eastmain players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
