Arthur Vertefeuille showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seymour Bray, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When Montreal Kings's Wilmer Parmentier in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montreal Kings's goalkeeper Aldo Lapierre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Keewatin's Connie McCann ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aldo Lapierre. Aldo Lapierre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The long shot by Roman Eldridge in the 23rd minute really tested Aldo Lapierre's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 26th minute, Keewatin's Pons Powers ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aldo Lapierre. Aldo Lapierre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Omer Allaire struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Aldo Lapierre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keewatin. Aldo Lapierre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Connie McCann, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Donovan Abril's late challenge caught a Keewatin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donovan Abril helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Montreal Kings getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Donovan Abril hit a great ball. Keewatin's Edward Fox got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aldo Lapierre made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Armando Rochon sent off a good shot on target. Armando Rochon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Aldo Lapierre made a huge save. Omer Allaire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Lapierre having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Montreal Kings's Rolf Paige got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 46th play minutes Armando Rochon shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Aldo Lapierre and just under the crossbar into goal.

After having played for 52 minutes, Armando Rochon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Keewatin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Rochon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Montreal Kings's Seymour Bray slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arthur Vertefeuille. That made the score 3-1 after 54 minutes of play. Montreal Kings's Aldo Lapierre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Fox in the 57th minute of play. When Keewatin's Armando Rochon in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montreal Kings's goalie prevented a goal. Omer Allaire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Lapierre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Keewatin's Armando Rochon got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Armando Rochon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aldo Lapierre was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Edward Fox might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aldo Lapierre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Fox ran back to his position shaking his head. 78 minutes into the game, Pons Powers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Aldo Lapierre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rolf Paige hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Armando Rochon might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aldo Lapierre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Rochon ran back to his position shaking his head. When Omer Allaire came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Keewatin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omer Allaire couldn't finish the play. In the 94th match minute, Montreal Kings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donnie Duvall to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Lapierre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Rochon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Keewatin were the better team. Keewatin's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
