An unexpectedly hard shot by Seymour Bray in the 10th minute of play forced Govan's goalkeeper Zachary Gay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seymour Bray might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zachary Gay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Seymour Bray ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute, Govan's Trinidad Lawler ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aldo Lapierre. Aldo Lapierre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Wilmer Parmentier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachary Gay having to interfere. Seymour Bray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Zachary Gay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zachary Gay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilmer Parmentier in the 25th minute of the match. Govan's Zachary Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seymour Bray in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Govan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brock Busby to maneuver through the defense. When Montreal Kings's Wilmer Parmentier in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Govan's goalie prevented a goal. If Wilmer Parmentier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seymour Bray might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zachary Gay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Seymour Bray ran back to his position shaking his head. Aldo Lapierre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trinidad Lawler in the 49th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Seymour Bray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Govan's zone, Seymour Bray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachary Gay came out of the goal and Seymour Bray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aldo Lapierre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trinidad Lawler, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Aldo Lapierre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colby Shipley in the 57th minute of play. Govan's Zachary Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seymour Bray in the 58th minute of play. Zachary Gay stood somewhat misplaced when Seymour Bray came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 64 minute. 71 minutes into the match, Govan's goalkeeper Zachary Gay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilmer Parmentier. In the 73rd match minute, Montreal Kings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seymour Bray to maneuver through the defense. Wilmer Parmentier struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Zachary Gay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montreal Kings. Grady Langley kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Seymour Bray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wilmer Parmentier came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Montreal Kings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilmer Parmentier couldn't finish the play. Montreal Kings's Aldo Lapierre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trinidad Lawler in the 88th minute of play. If Wilmer Parmentier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trinidad Lawler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Govan were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Montreal Kings for a fine match.
