Govan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Deandre Pettit was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Zachary Gay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josiah Zimmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Grady Langley's late challenge caught a Sporting Olympique's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sporting Olympique's Roderick Singletary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trinidad Lawler in the 56th minute of play. Roderick Singletary showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trinidad Lawler in the 64th minute of the match. Govan's Trinidad Lawler got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roderick Singletary took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colby Shipley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josiah Zimmer struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Zachary Gay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Olympique. When Cyrille Russo fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Govan's protests and gave Cyrille Russo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Govan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyrille Russo to maneuver through the defense. After 74 played minutes Govan got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Garrett. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
