The supporters of River-Lions FC booed when Talmage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Rainey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglass Villeneuve charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglass Villeneuve the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, River-Lions FC's Douglass Villeneuve got a free kick in the 4th minute. Donald Lin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clifton Sicard having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, River-Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tyler Herring came free, but Clifton Sicard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, River-Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Warner Loiseau came free, but Clifton Sicard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Santo Villa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talmage's Hilario Trottier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clifton Sicard didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Talmage's Donald Lin shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Milan Bruneau during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Talmage getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Milan Bruneau hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Adolphe Holmes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hilario Trottier. Talmage's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolphe Holmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Warner Loiseau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Warner Loiseau to strike the kick off in the second half. Donald Lin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Clifton Sicard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Warner Loiseau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clifton Sicard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, River-Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sanford Huston to maneuver through the defense. Clifton Sicard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warner Loiseau, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Adolphe Holmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Tyler Herring fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talmage's protests and gave Tyler Herring a yellow card for diving instead. Tyler Herring kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Sanford Huston kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Jonas Peacock shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clifton Sicard showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Warner Loiseau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hilario Trottier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Adolphe Holmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Trottier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donald Lin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Talmage's Donald Lin suffered a sore thigh after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Toby Moore fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River-Lions FC's protests and gave Toby Moore a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, one of River-Lions FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for River-Lions FC. The referee gave Talmage a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jonas Peacock, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of River-Lions FC's Clifton Sicard. 1-2. In the 81st minute, River-Lions FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Warner Loiseau fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Frank Kraft hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. If Tyler Herring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. River-Lions FC's Clifton Sicard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyler Herring in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Warner Loiseau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talmage's supporters rose to their feet, but Warner Loiseau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clifton Sicard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Talmage played a much better game than River-Lions FC and deserved their victory. The River-Lions FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
