With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deon Robbins in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walton Busby saved Blainville Raptors from getting behind. After 38 played minutes Blainville Raptors got a freekick which was hit by Willard Titus. 41 minutes into the game, Heath Simard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blainville Raptors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New York Stars the free kick. After 42 played minutes Blainville Raptors got a freekick which was hit by Heath Simard. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deon Robbins to make the kick off. A collision led to Blainville Raptors getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jessie Ouellet hit a great ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 53rd minute, but Walton Busby got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Blainville Raptors hanging dry this time. After a defensive mix-up in New York Stars's zone, Firmin Aponte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliver Harmon came out of the goal and Firmin Aponte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Blainville Raptors booed when New York Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucien Friedman didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firmin Aponte in the 63rd minute of play forced New York Stars's goalkeeper Oliver Harmon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. New York Stars's Oliver Harmon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Firmin Aponte in the 68th minute of play. Deon Robbins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Walton Busby made a huge save. Ermenegilde Fuentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. New York Stars's Deon Robbins got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliver Womack recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ermenegilde Fuentes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blainville Raptors's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermenegilde Fuentes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Harmon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 93 minutes, Firmin Aponte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blainville Raptors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Firmin Aponte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermenegilde Fuentes in the 96th minute of play forced New York Stars's goalkeeper Oliver Harmon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The New York Stars players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Blainville Raptors from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
