Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lowell Kincaid kicked off to start the match. Lazare Loomis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noel Wynn was a little too slow when Alonzo Rowley got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, Sport Recife's Emory Painter got a free kick in the 13th minute. Noel Wynn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leland Guerra in the 16th minute. Sport Recife's Noel Wynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Sport Recife from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute, Sport Recife's Gilberto Madrid seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gilberto Madrid the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sport Recife protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gilberto Madrid had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Noel Wynn went to the wrong direction when Colombain Romano was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Alonzo Rowley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Noel Wynn came out and tried to block the shot, but Alonzo Rowley slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 24th minute. Leland Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Wynn having to interfere. In the 28th minute Leland Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Wynn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes, Wilford Howell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sport Recife and the Watson players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Alonzo Rowley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Rowley in the 37th minute of play forced Sport Recife's goalkeeper Noel Wynn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 3-0 became the score in the 41st minute when Alonzo Rowley elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, Watson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Davignon to maneuver through the defense. Leland Guerra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Noel Wynn firmly grabbed it by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alonzo Rowley made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Alonzo Rowley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leland Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Wynn having to interfere. Marc Davignon charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marc Davignon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Watson getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Marc Davignon hit a great ball. Leland Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Wynn having to interfere. If Leland Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noel Wynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Rowley in the 66th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, Sport Recife was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilford Howell to maneuver through the defense. Leland Guerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noel Wynn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Alonzo Rowley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Noel Wynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leland Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Lowell Kincaid's late challenge caught a Watson's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lowell Kincaid helped the player get up and apologised. Lowell Kincaid kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Watson's Leland Guerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Noel Wynn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alonzo Rowley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noel Wynn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Arnold Course managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Recife's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnold Course was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Becker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 92 minutes of play, Watson's Leland Guerra made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Noel Wynn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Watson walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
