Billie Busch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Becker having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Lazare Loomis made a precise shot to the right of Célestin Babcock. FARGO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Watson's Jose Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billie Busch in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Colombain Romano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonzalo Shook, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Billie Busch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Becker having to interfere. FARGO's Célestin Babcock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Rowley in the 24th minute of play. After 25 played minutes FARGO got a freekick which was hit by Maximilien Duff. 25 minutes into the match, FARGO's goal looked a bit too open when Alonzo Rowley came free, but Célestin Babcock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marc Davignon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Billie Busch managed to get in a good position for a shot. FARGO's supporters rose to their feet, but Billie Busch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Becker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alonzo Rowley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célestin Babcock having to interfere. Alec Munson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute of the match Watson got a corner. FARGO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Colombain Romano ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Leland Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cory Waters during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FARGO's Cory Waters got a free kick in the 60th minute. Gonzalo Shook kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Célestin Babcock was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Alonzo Rowley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alonzo Rowley really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Célestin Babcock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Davignon in the 76th minute of play. If Lazare Loomis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Watson's Alonzo Rowley got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Lazare Loomis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Watson's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FARGO the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Lazare Loomis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cory Waters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Jose Becker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cory Waters struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jose Becker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FARGO.
