Wilber Hurley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ezequiel Wade went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Wade got free with Wilber Hurley in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Thanh Dyer fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pakenham FC's protests and gave Thanh Dyer a yellow card for diving instead. Tory Seymour's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilber Hurley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Morton Bondy couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Pakenham FC's Morton Bondy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vespasien Woods narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Ethan Willett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Medusa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pakenham FC the free kick. A collision led to La Medusa getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ollie Kruse hit a great ball.
