Morton Bondy struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Noel Wynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pakenham FC. 18 minutes into the game, Pakenham FC's Spencer Rochon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Noel Wynn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Morton Bondy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Wynn having to interfere. When Spencer Rochon came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Pakenham FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Spencer Rochon couldn't finish the play. Morton Bondy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noel Wynn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilford Howell in the 31st minute of play forced Pakenham FC's goalkeeper Wilber Hurley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes of play, Sport Recife's Jared Simard made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilber Hurley was left in no man's land by his defense there! Spencer Rochon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Noel Wynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sport Recife's Noel Wynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morton Bondy in the 46th minute of play. Noel Wynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spencer Rochon, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lowell Kincaid was the one to do the kick off. Mariano Dickerson's late challenge caught a Sport Recife's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Dickerson helped the player get up and apologised. Mariano Dickerson kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Arnold Course had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilber Hurley. Pakenham FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnold Course was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Wilber Hurley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lowell Kincaid in the 58th minute of play. Lowell Kincaid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilber Hurley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnold Course, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Morton Bondy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Wynn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 71 in the game by Spencer Rochon from a close distance when the talented Noel Wynn managed to make a qualified save. Sport Recife's players were relieved. Morton Bondy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noel Wynn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Sport Recife's Noel Wynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Sport Recife from getting a goal against them. Morton Bondy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
