The referee ignored Langley FC's protests and gave Hans Rodriquez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Watson booed when Langley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Rodriquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leland Guerra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Dwight Guidry when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Langley FC's Russel Ewing got a free kick in the 20th minute. Dwight Guidry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Rowley, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Russel Ewing was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alonzo Rowley in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dwight Guidry saved Langley FC from getting behind. The supporters of Watson booed when Langley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Rodriquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leland Guerra got free with Dwight Guidry in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

53 minutes into the game, Watson's Alonzo Rowley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dwight Guidry made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The audience was convinced that Alonzo Rowley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dwight Guidry was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Langley FC defense, Leland Guerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dwight Guidry. The Langley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dwight Guidry should have stopped the shot. Jose Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colombe Sneed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Marc Davignon sped through Langley FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dwight Guidry. Leland Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dwight Guidry having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leland Guerra in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dwight Guidry prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the match, Alonzo Rowley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dwight Guidry. Langley FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alonzo Rowley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leland Guerra in the 90th minute of play forced Langley FC's goalkeeper Dwight Guidry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leland Guerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dwight Guidry read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Langley FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Watson.
