Vespasien Woods came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Recife's Lowell Kincaid. But to his dismay, Lowell Kincaid quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Tory Seymour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Noel Wynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilford Howell hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Vespasien Woods showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnold Course, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Arnold Course came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Sport Recife fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnold Course couldn't finish the play. Vespasien Woods showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lowell Kincaid in the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Sport Recife booed when La Medusa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ethan Willett didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Sport Recife got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Marier. Tory Seymour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Wynn having to interfere. When Ezequiel Wade came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the La Medusa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Wade couldn't finish the play. After 38 played minutes Sport Recife got a freekick which was hit by Emory Painter. Vespasien Woods didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnold Course went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ezequiel Wade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lowell Kincaid was the one to do the kick off. 61 minutes into the match, La Medusa's goal looked a bit too open when Lowell Kincaid came free, but Vespasien Woods reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 63 minutes, Arnold Course managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Recife's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnold Course was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jared Simard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Vespasien Woods made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Lowell Kincaid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Recife's supporters rose to their feet, but Lowell Kincaid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vespasien Woods breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Noel Wynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Wade, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Lowell Kincaid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Wynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tory Seymour in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of Sport Recife booed when La Medusa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buster Khan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Vespasien Woods successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The La Medusa fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sport Recife were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
