Spectators: 8012 (Terracing: 6011, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfred Loomis started the match with the kick off. Thaddeus Mobley hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, Cowley's Brice Gaulin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dwight Guidry narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dwight Guidry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brice Gaulin in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Langley FC's Russel Ewing got a free kick in the 9th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Hans Rodriquez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Barnabé Rutledge. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. In the 16th minute, Alfred Loomis fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Barnabé Rutledge, passed just outside the right post. Barnabé Rutledge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Loomis in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Colombe Sneed had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barnabé Rutledge. Cowley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Colombe Sneed was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Brice Gaulin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Russel Ewing struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Barnabé Rutledge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Langley FC. In the 27th minute Alfred Loomis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barnabé Rutledge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Russel Ewing could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Barnabé Rutledge however easily saved by the left post. Dwight Guidry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loyd Lutz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brice Gaulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dwight Guidry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reggie Metcalf stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Alfred Loomis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Langley FC and the Cowley players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Langley FC's Alfred Loomis got a free kick in the 55th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lou Crabtree during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Langley FC booed when Cowley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lou Crabtree didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barnabé Rutledge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Colombe Sneed, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Loyd Lutz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dwight Guidry read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Reggie Metcalf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69thth minute of the game Reggie Metcalf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Langley FC's Dwight Guidry was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Reggie Metcalf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dwight Guidry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brice Gaulin in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reggie Metcalf in the 73rd minute of play forced Langley FC's goalkeeper Dwight Guidry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Alfred Loomis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barnabé Rutledge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match Cowley got a corner. Langley FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Loyd Lutz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Brice Gaulin advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-1 in the 78th minute. A collision led to Langley FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Daniel Blount hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Cowley's Loyd Lutz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Brice Gaulin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reggie Metcalf in the 87th minute of play forced Langley FC's goalkeeper Dwight Guidry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brice Gaulin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Dwight Guidry made a huge save. If Brice Gaulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
