After some careless play in the Atnarko AFC defense, Merle Reyna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilbert Berg. The Atnarko AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilbert Berg should have stopped the shot. If Merle Reyna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Craigmyle booed when Atnarko AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally McLean didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Hosea McCall sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilbert Berg skillfully saved the ball. Fidel Piedalue kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Craigmyle's Merle Reyna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilbert Berg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Atnarko AFC's zone, Léonard Morales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilbert Berg came out of the goal and Léonard Morales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léonard Morales in the 37th minute of play forced Atnarko AFC's goalkeeper Wilbert Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes, Wally McLean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atnarko AFC and the Craigmyle players grew even worse after the yellow card. The attack was good, but when Léonard Morales in the 42nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Merle Reyna to make the kick off. Aldo McCarthy's late challenge caught a Atnarko AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo McCarthy helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Craigmyle got a freekick which was hit by Aldo McCarthy. In the 69th match minute, Atnarko AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teddy Bernier to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Atnarko AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Merle Reyna came free, but Wilbert Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Léonard Morales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Atnarko AFC's Wilbert Berg got control of the ball when Léonard Morales tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute Merle Reyna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilbert Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Léonard Morales in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wilbert Berg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 82 minutes, Léonard Morales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Craigmyle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Léonard Morales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atnarko AFC's Wilbert Berg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Atnarko AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 89th match minute, Atnarko AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bob Lacharité to maneuver through the defense. Léonard Morales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Wilbert Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tracy Ingram came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Atnarko AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tracy Ingram couldn't finish the play. Craigmyle's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
