An unexpectedly hard shot by Jourdain Cullen in the 6th minute of play forced Glencoe IFC's goalkeeper André Langelier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Langelier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jourdain Cullen in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Francisco Burgess left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glencoe IFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Glencoe IFC's Patrick Doran got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Alejandro Spears recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of André Langelier. Alejandro Spears showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Jourdain Cullen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. André Langelier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Glencoe IFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Spears came free, but André Langelier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Langelier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leland Trejo in the 29th minute. When Edgard Brandon came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the MTL Impact fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Brandon couldn't finish the play. Jourdain Cullen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Langelier having to interfere. André Langelier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leland Trejo in the 37th minute. Patrick Doran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tracy Bélanger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Jerold Goulet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MTL Impact's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glencoe IFC the free kick. The supporters of Glencoe IFC booed when MTL Impact was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerold Goulet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Doran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, MTL Impact's Leland Trejo got a free kick in the 48th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Burgess stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerold Goulet in the 52nd minute of play forced Glencoe IFC's goalkeeper André Langelier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jourdain Cullen struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. André Langelier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MTL Impact. In the 55th minute, Leland Trejo made a precise shot to the right of André Langelier. Glencoe IFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. MTL Impact's Jerold Goulet pulled a muscle in his leg after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 58 minutes, Patrick Doran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glencoe IFC and the MTL Impact players grew even worse after the yellow card. MTL Impact's Carl Woodson was substituted for Jerold Goulet. MTL Impact's Leland Trejo got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the game, Isaac Rucker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glencoe IFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MTL Impact the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Glencoe IFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Rucker to maneuver through the defense. Alejandro Spears might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Langelier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejandro Spears ran back to his position shaking his head. 69 minutes into the game, MTL Impact's Jourdain Cullen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Langelier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Jourdain Cullen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Brandon took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Langelier. André Langelier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Glencoe IFC's André Langelier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jourdain Cullen in the 91st minute of play. In the 91st minute, Jourdain Cullen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MTL Impact fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Edgard Brandon hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that MTL Impact were the better team. MTL Impact's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
