Spectators: 7974 (Terracing: 5982, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 158) Swanson's Brant Nichols started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Swanson's zone, Michael Hill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Man Holland came out of the goal and Michael Hill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Westholm FC's Elmo McFarland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monte Denton in the 9th minute of play. Brant Nichols received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Elmo McFarland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Branden Lemon in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Man Holland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute Brant Nichols shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmo McFarland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Brant Nichols had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Westholm FC's Valentine Bowling got a free kick in the 20th minute. Valentine Bowling's late challenge caught a Swanson's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentine Bowling helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, Westholm FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentine Bowling to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Michael Hill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Swanson's Man Holland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Branden Lemon in the 31st minute of play. Man Holland didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 33rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 37 minutes into the match, Westholm FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brant Nichols came free, but Elmo McFarland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Michael Hill came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Westholm FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Hill couldn't finish the play. Michael Hill struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Man Holland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westholm FC.

The wind increased when Branden Lemon made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Swanson's goalkeeper Man Holland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Branden Lemon in the 61st minute of play forced Swanson's goalkeeper Man Holland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monte Denton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Branden Lemon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Man Holland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brant Nichols in the 72nd minute of play forced Westholm FC's goalkeeper Elmo McFarland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Westholm FC's goalkeeper Elmo McFarland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Monte Denton. Branden Lemon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Man Holland having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brant Nichols in the 79th minute of play forced Westholm FC's goalkeeper Elmo McFarland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dion McMillian during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Swanson's Dion McMillian got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Michael Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Man Holland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Hill in the 89th minute of play. Elmo McFarland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donn Matson, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Valentine Bowling kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Westholm FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Swanson for a fine match.
