In the 23rd minute, Simcoe FC's Odis Petrie dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 27 minutes into the match, Westholm FC's goalkeeper Elmo McFarland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claude Kay. If Odis Petrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 35 minutes into the game, Claude Kay recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elmo McFarland. Claude Kay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Claude Kay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Elmo McFarland made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Odis Petrie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simcoe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Odis Petrie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elmo McFarland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claude Kay in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elmo McFarland, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Branden Lemon to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Simcoe FC's goalkeeper Walton Moore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Hill. In the 57th minute Odis Petrie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmo McFarland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elmo McFarland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claude Kay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Westholm FC's Elmo McFarland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Kay in the 64th minute of play. After 65 minutes, Claude Kay made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Westholm FC's Elmo McFarland tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Odis Petrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Elmo McFarland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Odis Petrie struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Elmo McFarland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simcoe FC. Odis Petrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Elmo McFarland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Valentine Bowling fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westholm FC's protests and gave Valentine Bowling a yellow card for diving instead. Valentine Bowling hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Westholm FC's Elmo McFarland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odis Petrie in the 85th minute of play. If Claude Kay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
