Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Claude Kay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Atnarko AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Odis Petrie 6 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Atnarko AFC's goalkeeper Wilbert Berg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claude Kay. Wilbert Berg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odis Petrie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Simcoe FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Thad Dick hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Odis Petrie in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilbert Berg saved Atnarko AFC from getting behind. In the 15th match minute, Atnarko AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teddy Bernier to maneuver through the defense. Odis Petrie struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Wilbert Berg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simcoe FC. When Claude Kay came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Simcoe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claude Kay couldn't finish the play. Odis Petrie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Wilbert Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Atnarko AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Odis Petrie came free, but Wilbert Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes, Teddy Bernier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atnarko AFC and the Simcoe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Teddy Bernier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tracy Ingram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 32nd minute Odis Petrie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilbert Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Simcoe FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Odis Petrie to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodney Reagan got free with Walton Moore in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claude Kay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 73rd minute Odis Petrie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilbert Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Siegel's late challenge caught a Atnarko AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eric Siegel helped the player get up and apologised. 86 minutes into the match, Rodney Reagan notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Simcoe FC's Walton Moore. Walton Moore was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rodney Reagan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tracy Ingram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Odis Petrie came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Simcoe FC fans jumped to their feet.
