Spectators: 8071 (Terracing: 6055, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 160) Westholm FC's Branden Lemon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, MTL Impact's goal looked a bit too open when Branden Lemon came free, but Tracy Bélanger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Hill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tracy Bélanger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elmo McFarland came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by MTL Impact's Alejandro Spears. But to his dismay, Alejandro Spears quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Elmo McFarland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leland Trejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jourdain Cullen in the 14th minute of play forced Westholm FC's goalkeeper Elmo McFarland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Leland Trejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the game, Valentine Bowling was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Westholm FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MTL Impact the free kick. A collision led to Westholm FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Valentine Bowling hit a great ball. When Emilio Boisclair fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westholm FC's protests and gave Emilio Boisclair a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leland Trejo in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elmo McFarland saved Westholm FC from getting behind. In the 35th minute, Branden Lemon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Branden Lemon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tracy Bélanger having to interfere. The supporters of MTL Impact booed when Westholm FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daren Pineda didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, MTL Impact's Tracy Bélanger got control of the ball when Branden Lemon tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Westholm FC's goalkeeper Elmo McFarland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Daren Pineda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Westholm FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MTL Impact the free kick. A collision led to Westholm FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Daren Pineda hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leland Trejo was the one to do the kick off. Westholm FC's Elmo McFarland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jourdain Cullen in the 53rd minute of play. Elmo McFarland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leland Trejo in the 57th minute. Leland Trejo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Elmo McFarland when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 67th play minute Leland Trejo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elmo McFarland. 0-2. In the 71st minute of the match Augustus Meyer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tracy Bélanger skillfully saved the ball. Leland Trejo might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elmo McFarland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leland Trejo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 78th minute Jourdain Cullen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmo McFarland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MTL Impact's zone, Michael Hill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tracy Bélanger came out of the goal and Michael Hill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jourdain Cullen in the 88th minute of play forced Westholm FC's goalkeeper Elmo McFarland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th play minute Leland Trejo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elmo McFarland. 0-3. After 94 minutes of play, MTL Impact's Leland Trejo made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elmo McFarland was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Westholm FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. MTL Impact were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
