Connaught's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renard Dumas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute of the match Bob Lacharité shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phillip Bradshaw showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Atnarko AFC's Rodney Reagan got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renard Dumas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilbert Berg having to interfere. Tomas Mims's late challenge caught a Atnarko AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Mims helped the player get up and apologised. Tomas Mims hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Connaught's Phillip Bradshaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tracy Ingram in the 76th minute of play. Wilbert Berg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renard Dumas, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Wilbert Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renard Dumas in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Wally McLean was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Connaught had won after a very even match.
