Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Francisco Burgess started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Siegel in the 2nd minute of play forced Glencoe IFC's goalkeeper André Langelier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Langelier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odis Petrie in the 11th minute of play. Claude Kay's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but André Langelier firmly grabbed it by the left post. Odis Petrie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Langelier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Francisco Burgess hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. André Langelier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odis Petrie in the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Odis Petrie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Langelier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Claude Kay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simcoe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claude Kay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claude Kays short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got André Langelier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. André Langelier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odis Petrie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Claude Kay came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Simcoe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claude Kay couldn't finish the play. After 33 minutes of play, Simcoe FC's Claude Kay made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Langelier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Odis Petrie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Langelier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Claude Kay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thad Dick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. André Langelier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Langelier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claude Kay in the 45th minute. When Simcoe FC's Odis Petrie in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Glencoe IFC's goalie prevented a goal. Claude Kay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Langelier having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Odis Petrie made a kick off. If Odis Petrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Odis Petrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claude Kay took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Langelier. André Langelier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 72nd minute Claude Kay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Langelier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Claude Kay made a precise shot to the right of André Langelier. Glencoe IFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 83 minutes into the match, Glencoe IFC's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Kay came free, but André Langelier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Langelier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odis Petrie in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute Claude Kay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Langelier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Odis Petrie came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Simcoe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Odis Petrie couldn't finish the play. Claude Kay scored 5-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of André Langelier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
