Spectators: 8006 (Terracing: 6006, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) Randal Ham hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Man Holland made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Leland Trejo sent off a good shot on target. Alejandro Spears recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Swanson's goalkeeper Man Holland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leland Trejo. The crowd rose to their feet as MTL Impact's Jourdain Cullen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Man Holland. That made the score 2-0 after 34 minutes of play. Tracy Bélanger came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Swanson's Brant Nichols. But to his dismay, Brant Nichols quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Leland Trejo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Leland Trejo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Swanson's Man Holland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Leland Trejo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Man Holland. Swanson's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leland Trejo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Jourdain Cullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Leland Trejo in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 81st minute, Michale McCray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jourdain Cullen came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the MTL Impact fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jourdain Cullen couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Leland Trejo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MTL Impact fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jourdain Cullen in the 89th minute of play forced Swanson's goalkeeper Man Holland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monte Denton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tracy Bélanger having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the MTL Impact players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
