Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fredric Finney started the match with the kick off. Sang Coleman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jourdain Cullen's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Sang Coleman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leland Trejo in the 6th minute of the match. Christian Tharp came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tracy Bélanger could save by the left post. If Christian Tharp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 12 minutes into the match, Christian Tharp notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of MTL Impact's Tracy Bélanger. Tracy Bélanger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sal Ratté received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Sang Coleman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leland Trejo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Christian Tharp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Tracy Bélanger made a huge save. Fredric Finney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. MTL Impact's Tracy Bélanger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save MTL Impact from getting a goal against them. Robert Bler was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, one of MTL Impact:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MTL Impact. When the match had been going on for 34 minutes, Raptors Soccer's Robby Law got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tracy Bélanger. MTL Impact's Tracy Bélanger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredric Finney in the 36th minute of play. Raptors Soccer's Sang Coleman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jourdain Cullen in the 45th minute of play. MTL Impact's Edgard Brandon got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jourdain Cullen made a kick off. A collision led to MTL Impact getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Sal Ratté hit a great ball. Jourdain Cullen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sal Ratté couldn't finish the play. The supporters of MTL Impact booed when Raptors Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredric Finney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgard Brandon in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sang Coleman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sang Coleman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emery Vincent in the 87th minute of the match. Sang Coleman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jourdain Cullen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of MTL Impact booed when Raptors Soccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Tharp didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Raptors Soccer's goal looked a bit too open when Jourdain Cullen came free, but Sang Coleman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MTL Impact were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
