After a defensive mix-up in Craigmyle's zone, Odis Petrie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ned Fontaine came out of the goal and Odis Petrie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd match minute, Craigmyle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everett Sosa to maneuver through the defense. Juan Cole kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Léonard Morales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Walton Moore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Merle Reyna went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Claude Kay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ned Fontaine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Odis Petrie was the one to do the kick off. Juan Cole's late challenge caught a Simcoe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Cole helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Simcoe FC booed when Craigmyle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Cole didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simcoe FC's Walton Moore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merle Reyna in the 55th minute of play. Walton Moore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Claude Kay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Merle Reyna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Craigmyle's supporters rose to their feet, but Merle Reyna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walton Moore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 minutes, Ray Murray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Craigmyle and the Simcoe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Craigmyle getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Ray Murray hit a great ball. Merle Reyna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walton Moore having to make a save. After 79 played minutes Craigmyle got a freekick which was hit by Dion Carignan. In the 81st minute, Aldo McCarthy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Odis Petrie struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Ned Fontaine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simcoe FC. A collision led to Simcoe FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Fredrick Giroux hit a great ball. Craigmyle's Merle Reyna got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. Fredrick Giroux took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ned Fontaine. Craigmyle's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Craigmyle players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
