Terence McGowan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Herschel Walden. McLennan FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bryant Frost during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes McLennan FC got a freekick which was hit by Bryant Frost. If Pons Mayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pons Mayo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in HightVoltage FC's zone, Pons Mayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Barnhart came out of the goal and Pons Mayo tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind McLennan FC's goalkeeper Herschel Walden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Charlie Gaston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in McLennan FC's zone, Charlie Gaston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herschel Walden came out of the goal and Charlie Gaston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brock Sarrazin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Herschel Walden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charlie Gaston got free with Herschel Walden in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute Brock Sarrazin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herschel Walden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herschel Walden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brock Sarrazin, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Brock Sarrazin took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Herschel Walden to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in HightVoltage FC's zone, Ramon Rodgers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Barnhart came out of the goal and Ramon Rodgers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred Barnhart came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by McLennan FC's Pons Mayo. But to his dismay, Pons Mayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. McLennan FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of HightVoltage FC for a fine match.
