Bonarlaw's Rob Houston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Metz in the 3rd minute of play. Rob Houston didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hayden Harrison went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Metz got free with Rob Houston in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rob Houston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hiram Hamm in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Lance Holliday left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bonarlaw fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Mark Erickson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Walton in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Savanne's goal looked a bit too open when Ron Shoemaker came free, but Mark Erickson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mark Erickson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armand Oconnor in the 31st minute of play. Savanne's Mark Erickson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Walton in the 34th minute of play. Mark Erickson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lance Holliday, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Savanne booed when Bonarlaw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Van Abraham didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute of the match Hayden Harrison shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rob Houston showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Miguel Walton might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mark Erickson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Walton ran back to his position shaking his head. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Walton was the one to do the kick off. Savanne's Mark Erickson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Savanne from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Bonarlaw booed when Savanne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamie Wiggins didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Lance Holliday ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mark Erickson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Miguel Walton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mark Erickson came out and tried to block the shot, but Miguel Walton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Walton in the 90th minute of play forced Savanne's goalkeeper Mark Erickson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Savanne's goal looked a bit too open when Raphaël Lowe came free, but Mark Erickson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Bonarlaw supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bonarlaw would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
