After having played for 42 minutes, Man Desnoyers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bayern München AG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Man Desnoyers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raymond Patel during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Thornbury getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Raymond Patel hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Numan Yetkiner to make the kick off. Man Desnoyers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rüştü Rencber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Bayern München AG booed when Thornbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rainer Alexis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shelton Bellemare's late challenge caught a Thornbury's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
