After 9 minutes, Diego Charlesbois mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vassan and the Canuck players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vassan's Diego Charlesbois got a free kick in the 9th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Canuck's Gaston Lamare tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Canuck's Eugène Pugh got a free kick in the 14th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Devin Provencher notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Canuck's Mack Irvin. Mack Irvin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute Devin Provencher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mack Irvin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Devin Provencher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mack Irvin was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Devin Provencher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mack Irvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Hay, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Vassan's Devin Provencher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mack Irvin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Bousquet was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Vassan's Diego Charlesbois slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mack Irvin. That made the score 0-3 after 51 minutes of play. If Gayle Ewing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the game, Ulrich Marcum was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canuck's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vassan the free kick. A collision led to Canuck getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ulrich Marcum hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Canuck's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Brooks Coffey fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 84th minute, Diego Charlesbois got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Canuck's Mack Irvin got control of the ball when Brooks Coffey tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Diego Charlesbois notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Canuck's Mack Irvin. Mack Irvin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Brooks Coffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Canuck fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vassan were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
