Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stanton Purcell made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Richmond FC's Stanton Purcell got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 6th minute, Maurice Carignan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chang Vick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Brock Jalbert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Colliers AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurice Carignan came free, but André Chalifour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Clint Bernier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colliers AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Richmond FC the free kick. André Chalifour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanton Purcell in the 24th minute of play. André Chalifour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurice Carignan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. André Chalifour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from René Grenier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Colliers AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Stanton Purcell came free, but André Chalifour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Colliers AFC's Clint Bernier got a free kick in the 33rd minute. It was beautiful to see Richmond FC's Shannon Aragon in action when he in the 35th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! André Chalifour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanton Purcell in the 40th minute of the match. Gale Willis's late challenge caught a Richmond FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gale Willis helped the player get up and apologised. Maurice Carignan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Chalifour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from René Grenier in the 45th minute of play.

Brock Jalbert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chang Vick in the 51st minute of play. If Maurice Carignan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Maurice Carignan came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Richmond FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurice Carignan couldn't finish the play. Patrice Barney hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Maurice Carignan came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and André Chalifour could save by the left post. Stanton Purcell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Chalifour made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Maurice Carignan sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurice Carignan got free with André Chalifour in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Colliers AFC were furious when Patrice Barney was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 83rd minute, one of Colliers AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Colliers AFC. Richmond FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
