Nolan Lovett took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Neville McNeal. Neville McNeal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Fowler getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Rocky Mélançon hit a great ball. After 19 played minutes Canadian Devils got a freekick which was hit by Kirby Carlson. Neville McNeal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germain Flint, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Germain Flint managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fowler's supporters crossed their fingers, but Germain Flint was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nolan Lovett in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Neville McNeal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Germain Flint had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michel Hatcher hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match Bertram Hatch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Neville McNeal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Germain Flint sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nolan Lovett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Neville McNeal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nolan Lovett was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Fowler's Garret Sullivan got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 57 played minutes Canadian Devils got a freekick which was hit by Michel Hatcher. If Nolan Lovett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Todd Nelson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Fowler's Nolan Lovett dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Canadian Devils's zone, Germain Flint stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Neville McNeal came out of the goal and Germain Flint tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th match minute, Canadian Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nick Gamble to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Canadian Devils getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Nick Gamble hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Nelson in the 79th minute of play forced Fowler's goalkeeper Adalberto Knapp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Fowler's Rocky Mélançon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Neville McNeal. Neville McNeal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 89th minute, Nolan Lovett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nolan Lovett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Germain Flint fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neville McNeal having to interfere.
