After 15 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Ronnie McWilliams. In the 17th minute, Percy Ruth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Napoleon Segura was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Joseph Fowler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ervin Garrett made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Alexander Lessard sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the match, Percy Ruth notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of The Iceberg's Napoleon Segura. Napoleon Segura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. River Plate's Shawn Léveillé got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Napoleon Segura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shawn Léveillé in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Ronnie McWilliams notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of The Iceberg's Napoleon Segura. Napoleon Segura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Napoleon Segura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jame Melton went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Napoleon Segura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percy Ruth, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Titus Bell made the kick off in the second half. Napoleon Segura didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. 57 minutes into the match, The Iceberg's goalkeeper Napoleon Segura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Percy Ruth. Ronnie McWilliams was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 59 minutes into the match. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ronnie McWilliams hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Jame Melton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Napoleon Segura. The goal made the score 0-6. 72 minutes into the match, The Iceberg's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Ruth came free, but Napoleon Segura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Alexander Lessard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ervin Garrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ervin Garrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Lessard in the 78th minute of play. Percy Ruths short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Napoleon Segura to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dominic Long could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Napoleon Segura made a huge save. Percy Ruth received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Napoleon Segura came out and tried to block the shot, but Percy Ruth slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 85th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Percy Ruth in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Napoleon Segura saved The Iceberg from getting behind. 92 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Lemieux came free, but Ervin Garrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Bureau's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Bureau helped the player get up and apologised. When the final whistle sounded River Plate left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than The Iceberg.
