But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucien Steiner couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 范桑适 in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carson Chu saved Edgar FC from getting behind. Denver Sinclair hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Edgar FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Donn Vertefeuille hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wade Coyle during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sprucedale getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Wade Coyle hit a great ball. Vladan Kovačević made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Pina in the 31st minute of play. Vladan Kovačević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lance Huff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Porter Nava had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Dirk Pina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladan Kovačević was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Huey Kessler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 2-1 when 范桑适 sped through Edgar FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carson Chu. In the 57th minute, 范桑适 made a precise shot to the right of Carson Chu. Edgar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 60 minutes, Alvaro Cottrell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sprucedale and the Edgar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 62 minutes into the match, Edgar FC's Simon Hines sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladan Kovačević narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Willard Escobedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Carson Chu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carson Chu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 范桑适 went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 77th minute Simon Hines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladan Kovačević saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Willard Escobedo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Sprucedale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willard Escobedo couldn't finish the play. Raphaël Lunsford charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Dirk Pina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, 范桑适 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carson Chu was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Sprucedale's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
