A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Javier Swan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Laval Canadians's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Raymundo Robbins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brady Lester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Swan in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Yankees was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Petit to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Yankees's goalkeeper Brady Lester, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 33 played minutes, Laval Canadians's Donovan Byrd shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Brady Lester came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laval Canadians reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Swan in the 39th minute of play forced Yankees's goalkeeper Brady Lester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steven Tackett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Brady Lester made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Yankees's goalkeeper Brady Lester had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven Tackett. Brady Lester made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Steven Tackett sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Javier Swan made a kick off. In the 54th minute Tommy Piedalue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brady Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brady Lester was left in no man's land by his defense there! Steven Tackett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute.
