Paul Champion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spencer Cervantes in the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to Rosthern getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ezra Marrero hit a great ball. When Boniface Summers fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosthern's protests and gave Boniface Summers a yellow card for diving instead. Boniface Summers kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Ezra Marrero notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Montreal FC's Paul Champion. Paul Champion was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Montreal FC's Paul Champion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sol Medeiros in the 45th minute of play.
