Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dick Spivey kicked off to start the match. Brandon Fontenot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Dan Khan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. NDG United's Dan Khan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Spivey in the 4th minute of play. Taylor Fagan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Séverin Thorne in the 7th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sheldon Goode in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taylor Fagan saved Murdochville from getting behind. 12 minutes into the match, Séverin Thorne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taylor Fagan. Murdochville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Séverin Thorne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 18 played minutes Murdochville got a freekick which was hit by Charles Cervantes. After having played for 22 minutes, Séverin Thorne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NDG United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Séverin Thorne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brandon Fontenot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Khan having to interfere. Brandon Fontenot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dan Khan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dick Spivey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dan Khan having to make a save. 41 minutes into the match, Murdochville's goal looked a bit too open when Séverin Thorne came free, but Taylor Fagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Murdochville booed when NDG United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olivier Dykes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Taylor Fagan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Séverin Thorne in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Séverin Thorne to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Olivier Dykes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NDG United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Murdochville the free kick. After 53 played minutes NDG United got a freekick which was hit by Olivier Dykes. Dan Khan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dick Spivey went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Sheldon Goode recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the NDG United defense, Brandon Fontenot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dan Khan. The NDG United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dan Khan should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Murdochville's Lonnie Coronado got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Séverin Thorne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 98 in the game by Sheldon Goode from a close distance when the talented Taylor Fagan managed to make a qualified save. Murdochville's players were relieved. For all the effort they put into the match, the NDG United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Murdochville.
